About ARTpreneur
The ARTpreneur Conference is the first of its kind in Northwestern Ontario; focusing strictly on the business needs of artistic entrepreneurs. The event is taking place in Kenora, Ontario on March 31, 2009. The conference will feature keynote addresses from industry experts, workshops, funding resources, networking, and a unique art exhibit at the Lake of the Woods Museum.
The conference is designed for today’s professional artist in all disciplines: painter, musician, designer, dancer, actor, writer, photographer, filmmaker, singer, craftsperson, and more. Artists will be educated and motivated by the energy of the speakers, workshop presenters, and participants. The goal is to provide artists an inside look into what it takes to create a successful art business.
Conference Host
This event is being hosted by the Northwest Business Centre (NWBC). The NWBC empowers entrepreneurs with support, resources, business planning, and specialized business functions in the Kenora Rainy River District.
The Northwest Business Centre is a provincial Small Business Enterprise Centre developed in cooperation with the province, municipality, and private sector. NWBC's core funders are the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines and the City of Kenora, Lake of the Woods Development Commission.
